End-User License Agreement (Terms of Use)
Sakina.day applications, including Fajr O’Clock and Bayān (each, an “Application”, and collectively the “Applications”), are licensed to you (“End-User”) by sakina.day, an independent developer (“Licensor”), for use only under the terms of this End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”).
By downloading or using the Applications via Apple’s App Store, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and acknowledge that you have read and accepted its terms. The App Store is referred to in this Agreement as the “Services”.
Apple is not a party to this Agreement and is not responsible for the Applications or their content. The Licensor, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Applications.
This Agreement is intended to comply with Apple’s Standard End-User License Agreement (EULA) and does not conflict with Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

1. The Application
1.1 Fajr O’Clock
Fajr O’Clock is a mobile application designed to help users organize and support their daily Fajr routine through alarms, reminders, and simple rituals.
1.2 Bayān
Bayān is a mobile application designed to help users learn and study through their personal library, reading plans, and notes/annotations, including optional features that may enable sharing (“Reminders”).
The Applications are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
The Applications are not intended to provide medical or legal advice.
For religious matters, the Applications do not issue rulings and are not a substitute for qualified human guidance.
2. Scope of License
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Applications on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s Usage Rules.
You may not:

Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code

Redistribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Application

Use the Application in an unlawful or abusive manner
All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by sakina.day.
3. Subscriptions
One or more Applications may offer auto-renewable subscriptions.
Before purchase, users are clearly informed of:

The name of the subscription

The duration

The price

The renewal conditions
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.
4. Maintenance and Support
4.1 Content you create
In Bayān, you may create content such as annotations, notes, organization metadata, and other personal study materials (“User Content”).
You retain responsibility for the User Content you create or share.
4.2 Rappels (sending feature)
If you use Bayān’s Rappel feature, you may choose to send content such as an image and an emoji to a recipient. To personalize the experience, Bayān may ask for the sender’s first name and the recipient’s first name.
You agree that:
- You will not submit or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
- You will not share private or sensitive information about others without permission.
- You have the right to use and share the content (including any image) you send.
sakina.day may remove or restrict access to shared content where required to comply with law or to protect users and the service.
5. Use of Data
Bayān uses Apple technologies including SwiftData and CloudKit to support data storage/synchronization and features such as Rappels.
If you enable iCloud on your device (or if a feature requires CloudKit to function), relevant data may be processed and stored through Apple iCloud/CloudKit services. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
The Applications is designed to minimize data collection.
Any data collected is used solely for:

Improving app stability and performance
No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Maintenance and Support
The Licensor is responsible for maintaining the Applications and providing reasonable support.
Support contact information is available in the App Store listing.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services.
7. Use of Data
The Applications are designed to minimize data collection.
Any data processed is used solely for:
- Core app functionality
- Improving stability and performance
No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

8. Liability
The Applications are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The Licensor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Termination
This license remains effective until terminated by you or the Licensor.
Your rights will automatically terminate if you violate any term of this Agreement.
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Application.
10. Third-Party Beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against you as such.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in the user’s country of residence, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
