2025. The silence of my library.
I'm a revert.
In Islam, I understood that faith isn't a passing emotion — it is something you build. I had everything to build: to know my Creator subhana wa ta'ala, His Messenger sallu Allah alayhi wa salam, the meaning of my life.
So I searched. A lot, and in the right places. Al Hamdulillah.
I sent my husband to hunt down books at the library. I piled up volumes, notes, Post-its.
But I walked away with so little of everything I had annotated.
I knew I had read a gem about patience, or a specific supplication... but it was nowhere to be found the moment I needed it.
My knowledge wasn't transforming me. It was just a stack of data, not an engine for my heart.
How could I fight ignorance when I actually own all these books?
I wanted these treasures not to stop with me. I wanted to pass them on to my husband, to those close to me, so we could grow together. But how do you share knowledge that is itself scattered?
The engineer in me had to build a bridge.
I designed Bayān so that knowledge would no longer be a passage, but an anchor.
A system where every verse, every quote, every benefit drawn from a book is linked to its source, its reference, its author.
So that once the book is closed, the real work can finally begin: becoming a better version of yourself.
