fajroclock-iOS-Default-1024x1024@1x-1 العشاء The night before

3 knots.
Every single night.

And no one showed you how to untie them.

The reality

some mornings, it's not enough.

You make efforts.
You set alarms.
You really want to get up.
It's not a lack of willpower.
It's not a lack of faith.

It's something else.

Your story

every return has its own path.

01  Some come back after years away.

02  Others never left, but never prayed.

03  Others said the shahada alone, one night.

04  Others come back through Fajr, one prayer at a time.

Pray on time

When one of you sleeps, shaytān makes knots on jis neck. With every knot he makes he says : "May the night be long for you. Let's go to sleep."

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Kitāb at-Tahajjud, ḥadīth n° 1142

The origin Fajr O'Clock, for whom, from whom, and why?

The problem isn't the alarm.

It's the night before.

2025. Ten years after my conversion.

My husband still misses Fajr. Not every day. But too often.

We tried the obvious solution: a smartwatch worth over €400. It vibrates on the wrist. Discreet. Modern.

For one week, it works.

Then nothing. The body gets used to it. The brain learns to ignore it. Shayṭān takes over again.

€400 for an alarm that works one week.

So I searched. Not on YouTube. In books. The thick books that few people read to the end.

And there, in Madārij as-Sālikīn, I found what no one had ever told me:

The problem isn't the alarm. It's the night before.

The three knots. The three steps before sleep. The complete protocol.

Engineer by training. So I built what he needed: a way to never forget how to sleep and wake for prayer. Today, if my husband prays Fajr at the mosque. In congregation. At the start of its time. It is not because he's turn perfect. It's because the system is. Allāhumma bārik.
