sakina.day respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it.

This Privacy Policy applies to Sakina.day applications, including Fajr O’Clock, Basirah and Bayān (the “Applications”).

Information Collection and Use

Depending on how you use the Applications, you may choose to provide or create data such as:

Data you provide (Bayān)

Bayān allows you to create and store content such as:
• your library entries (works/page books you add),
• reading plans,
• annotations and notes,
• tags and picture metadata.

Sending feature (Reminders)
If you use Bayān’s sending feature (Reminders), Bayān may ask you to provide:

• first name, as a sender or a recipient

Bayān may also process and store the content you choose to send, such as:

an image (the “Reminder”),
an emojis, and
optional accompanying information required to deliver the feature like clue, words and responses.

Nor Bayan or Fajr O’Clock require users to create an account. Your iCloud paired with your Apple device is used.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information unless strictly necessary for the app’s functionality.

Any data processed is used solely to operate and improve the Application.

Device permissions (only when needed)

The Applications may request system permissions strictly to deliver the features you enable, such as:

Notifications (e.g., reminders/alarms, reading reminders)
Camera (e.g., scanning covers/pages in Bayān)
Microphone / Speech Recognition (only if you activate voice features)
Photos (only if you choose to import or export images)

You can control permissions at any time in your device settings.

On-device processing

When possible, processing is performed on your device (for example, scanning-related recognition or local organization). Some features may rely on Apple system frameworks and services.

iCloud / Sync

Bayān uses Apple CloudKit and SwiftData to store and synchronize certain data and to enable features such as sending Rappels.

If iCloud is enabled on your device, some of your Bayān data (including sender/recipient first names and shared Rappel content, when applicable) may be stored in iCloud/CloudKit so it can be delivered and accessed across devices and by recipients when you initiate sharing.

Apple’s iCloud services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing and External Communication

Sharing initiated by you

Some features may allow you to share content (for example, an exported image, text, or a shareable item/link). Sharing occurs only when you explicitly choose to share.

Bayān’s Reminder feature shares content only when you explicitly choose to send.

Recipients may see the sender first name you entered, along with the image/emoji you chose to share.

sakina.day does not sell your personal data.

No selling of personal data

sakina.day does not sell your personal data.

No third-party advertising tracking (by default)

sakina.day does not use third-party advertising SDKs that track you across apps and websites.

(If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before/when the change is deployed.)

Analytics and Diagnostics

To improve stability and performance, the Applications may collect limited diagnostic information (for example, crash logs and performance data), typically through Apple-provided mechanisms (such as App Store or device diagnostic reporting), depending on your device settings.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal content from your library/notes for analytics purposes.

Security

Communications with any online components of the Applications use secure connections (HTTPS) where applicable.
We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

Content you create (annotations, settings, plans) is retained as long as it remains on your device and/or in your iCloud (if enabled).
You can delete your content within the Applications. If iCloud is enabled, deletion may also propagate according to Apple iCloud synchronization behavior.

Children’s Privacy

The Applications are not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Your Consent

By using the Applications, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
